This course comprises of:
3 hours a week over the course of 30 weeks and 7 topics to build on your ability with BSL and 3 assessments to complete.
Topics are:
BSL Grammar.
Home life.
Social and recreational activities.
Education and Training.
Employment.
Accessibility and Barriers.
Deaf culture and Deaf history.
The 3 assessments that need to be achieved for this qualification are:
Productive Skills, a formal presentation for 8-10 minutes
Conversational skills, an informal conversation for 10-12 minutes.
Receptive Skills, a written exam using receptive skills.

BSL Level 3 Readiness Programme (Online, Intensive)
Finished your Level 2 BSL course and looking for a fast, structured route toward Signature Level 3 assessment readiness? This intensive programme is designed for confident Level 2 signers who already use BSL regularly in work or social settings.
This course comprises of:
3 hours a week over the course of 20 weeks. This intensive format focuses on building fluency, grammatical accuracy, and preparing you for the three external assessments.
What’s included:
Diagnostic Assessment: A week 1 assessment and personal action plan to start your journey.
Intensive Practice: Guided practice in receptive and productive skills across all Level 3 topic areas.
Mock Checkpoints: Two formal mock exams plus a final readiness review to track your progress.
Topics covered include:
Home Life, Social/Recreational Activities, Education and Training, Employment, Consumer Issues, and Deaf History and Culture.
Preparation for the 3 Signature Assessments:
Productive Skills: Formal presentation (8–10 mins).
Conversational Skills: Informal conversation (10–12 mins).
Receptive Skills: A written exam using receptive skills (approx. 1 hour).
Minimum cohort to run: 4 learners
· Maximum cohort: 8 learners
(Note: Exam fees are included for learners who meet the readiness criteria to be put forward for assessment. Should a learner require additional coaching sessions to reach the required standard, these can be arranged separately.)
